The
Booking Process
Our
Aim
The booking process takes place in three simple steps, highlighted
below. Our aim is that you feel crystal clear regarding the process
of booking, payment and logistics regarding your trip. If at any
time at all you are unclear regarding anything relating to your
trip, we urge you to contact us so that we can assist you to in
any way possible.
Phone
contact
We believe that phone contact is a far clearer communication tool
than email and prefer to use this method to communicate wherever
possible. Simply call us, or send us an email requesting that we
call you along with an appropriate time to do so and we'll handle
the rest.
STEP
1.
Contact Tarkine Trails by phone or email to let us know that you
wish to book. We will let you know the current available trips and
then send you the following information,
- Link to online
booking form (including pre trip preparation program and medical
form). Paper version available on request,
- An Invoice
(if you wish to pay by credit card or EFTPOS),
- Detailed
itinerary (including walk grading and gear list),
- A pre trip
training program that helps you prepare for your walk,
- A link to
our Accommodation Suggestions including discounts.
Notes Re Payment
- Payment can be made by cheque, credit card (phone or internet)
or EFTPOS.
- Your booking is tentatively reserved for 10 days until your
deposit arrives. If a tour is close to full and we have other
people wanting to book we will contact you to confirm that your
payment is on the way.
- If your departure date is more than 8 weeks away please pay
the $250 deposit using the information provided on the invoice.
The balance of your payment will be due 8 weeks from your trip
departure date. (Note: you can pay your deposit and balance
due using the same invoice)
- If your trip departure date is less than 8 weeks away then
the full balance is due with your booking.
STEP 2.
- Return the completed booking and medical forms to us,
- If you have any questions about the forms please contact us
prior to returning them.
- For accuracy and efficiency, we prefer to answer questions
over the phone. We are happy to call you if you have questions,
please email us to give us an appropriate time, or call and
we will call you back.
- We will process your booking and contact you if we need to
clarify anything.
STEP 3.
One week from departure we will call you to finalise pick up times
and gear check times etc. At this point any last minute questions
can be answered to ensure you are 100% prepared for your trip.
